If you love a challenging game of tennis and pitting your skills against other players, sign up for our in-house tennis competitions. Held at the Prince Alfred Park Tennis Courts in Surry Hills and other City Community Tennis locations. Held on weeknights for different playing levels throughout the year. Format is singles and doubles play. Improve your game and meet new people while you enjoy fast-paced, competitive match play.
Please complete the details below so we can best place you or your team in the right division. Please note you may be directed to book a grading session (private lesson, group class or one of our monthly grading sessions) before we can enter you in Weeknight Competition. If you are graded beginner or Low Intermediate you won't be able to play Weeknight Competition as the minimum player level is Intermediate unless otherwise stated
All competition players must be current City Community Tennis Advantage Members. Yearly membership fee $60.

if you don't already have a player rating at City Community Tennis you will need to be graded by one of our experienced staff before you can compete in any of our Competitions. Please note grading sessions are not suitable for beginners.

A: Select the 'Play Weeknight Comp' tab and fill out the form. If you don't have a City Community Tennis 'player level' or current 'UTR' you will need a grading by one of our coaches who will assess your player level.

Q2: Do I have to wait for a new competition to commence playing?
A: You may be able to join our wait list as a reserve. If a a player in our current series cannot make a round of the competition, we will ask players from the reserve list to fill in for the night. The cost to reserve is $10 per match. This is also a good way to play competition tennis if you have a really busy schedule and cannot commit to a whole competition. You may also wish to consider playing Sunday Morning comp, Singles Club Ladder or Social Tennis. Click on the side menu bar for website information on these events.
