1. The terms, conditions and provisions of this Hall Hire Policy apply in addition to the standard terms and conditions of City Community Tennis Pty Limited (ACN 600 602 364) t/a City Community Tennis (‘CCT’) available on CCT’s website. You should read both documents carefully.

5. Hire Rates (subject to variation without notice)
5.1. $35.90 per hour (Non Commercial / Community Use)
5.2. $70.30 per hour (Commercial / Corporate Use)
5.3. Hire must include bump in and bump out
6. Additional fees not included in hourly hall hire rates
6.1. Cleaning $50.00 this is mandatory for all birthday party bookings
6.2. Rubbish & Recycling Bin Removal $60.00 ($30 per bin, general waste and recycling bins)
6.4. Catering and supplies (please email your request)
7. The non-commercial rate is applicable for self-help groups and not-for-profit organisations, at CCT’s discretion. Applications for reduced Hall Hire rates must be submitted to CCT in writing before booking.
8.1. There is NO catering kitchen or BBQ at the community room. Everything has to be walked into the park via pedestrian/cycle paths. Park BBQ’s are located across the grassy oval and near the swimming pool. You are permitted to bring your own portable BBQs.
8.2. You must organise all catering equipment and supplies including tablecloths, crockery and cutlery.
8.3. The premises must be left in a clean and tidy condition at the conclusion of the hiring.
8.4. If you are self-catering for a small party we have compiled a few local suggestions:
8.5.1. Hot Food: Pizza delivery as we have no facility for heating food on site. Closest is Dominos Pizza on Redfern Street.
8.5.2. Cold Food: Sandwich platters can be ordered and picked up from the Woolworths opposite Redfern Oval.
8.5.3. Cakes/Cupcakes: Michel’s Bakery in Surry Hills Shopping Plaza off Cleveland Street are close by. Cupcake Factory have delivered mini-cupcakes to the Park before.
8.6.1. Email us if you would like a quote on a bulk order of apple juice, water, soft-drink cans, gatorade from our supplier.
8.6.2. Subject to applicable laws and regulations, we permit you to bring your own beer and wine. You cannot offer it for sale unless you comply with all laws and regulations (including any requirement to maintain a liquor licence) and obtain our prior written consent beforehand.
8.7. Large Events / Catering Companies
8.7.1. Caterer must be registered and follow NSW Health guidelines and must provide CCT a copy of insurances and submit a risk management plan to CCT’s satisfaction if vehicle access is requested. Events planned outside the tennis centre inside Prince Alfred Park may require a separate application to the City of Sydney.
9. Parking restrictions and other questions
9.1. PARKING AND DRIVING IN PRINCE ALFRED PARK IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. The City of Sydney do not permit driving or parking inside Prince Alfred Park. Driving in and parking at the Coronation Centre or Tennis Courts is strictly prohibited. Heavy fines may apply. Under no circumstances are you permitted to authorise anyone including delivery vans to drive inside the park. You may ask to borrow our hand trolley to transport heavy items in and out of the park.
9.2. Access to the venue is limited to booked hours and when CCT staff are on site. To attempt to enter or leave the building outside of these hours may trip venue alarms. CCT reserves the right to charge the Hirer for costs incurred by any security call-out.
9.3. Pre-event site visits may be arranged with CCT staff during business hours by appointment, subject to CCT’s availability.
9.4. CCT staff reserves the right to control the venue including all means of entry and exit, and over the timing of opening and closing the doors and admission of the public (including the right to refuse admission to any person or persons) at all times and during any booking.
9.5. The Hirer, or the Hirer's representative, must be in attendance before the advertised event starting time. Hirers are not to enter the venue after the hire period.
9.6. Any property found will be registered and retained by CCT until claimed by the owner upon satisfactory proof of ownership.
10.1. The community room is not available for dance parties or coming of age celebrations or political purposes.
10.2. The issue of all tickets of admission relating to a performance shall be subject to the approval of the Director.
10.3. The Hirer is only permitted use of the exact area booked.
10.4. Additional facilities, equipment and services must be organised and paid for in advance as agreed by CCT Director or staff in charge. The Hirer must demonstrate the safe use of all equipment and facilities prior to use. It is the Hirer's responsibility to ensure these instructions are adhered to.
10.5. The Hirer will not make any addition or alterations to the structure, facilities, goods, equipment or decoration of the venue unless approved by CCT in writing. No nails, screws, durex tape or any fastenings driven into or attached in any way to walls, floors, furniture or fittings. If the Hirer moves venue furniture and fittings they must be returned to their original storage place. The Hirer must stack all furniture as per instructions displayed in storage areas.
10.6. The Hirer is responsible for the whole area booked and specified including the toilets. Children must be supervised at all times CCT does not accept responsibility for the Hirer’s children, friends or family.
10.7. No animals, except registered assistance and companion animals, are permitted on the premises or surrounding grounds.
10.8. The premises are only to be used for the purposes requested at the time the booking is confirmed in writing by CCT.
11.1. A mandatory $50 cleaning fee applies to all birthday party and large catered bookings.
11.2. Please remove all personal property, party decorations and general waste when leaving.
11.3. Waste and recycling removal is $60 (General waste bin $30, Recycling bin $30).
12.1. Music must not cause annoyance to adjacent CCT staff, residents and occupants of neighbouring properties or to tennis players on the tennis courts.
12.2. Any request from CCT to reduce sound levels must be complied with immediately.
12.3. Any breach of noise regulations may result in CCT enforcing remedies available to it at law.
13. No Smoking
13.1. Smoking is not permitted inside the community room or anywhere outside the community room including the steps and verandahs of the building or the adjacent tennis courts.
14.1. Alcohol consumption is permitted but alcohol sale is not permitted. Please consult the City of Sydney and or Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing and the local police websites for relevant legislation and permissions.
14.2. No kegs or similar bulk containers are permitted.
14.3. No alcohol is to be sold or consumed outside the community room or in the Park surrounds.
15.1. CCT reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, that security is required for the event and if so, that determination will be advised in writing (usually 2 guards per 100 guests).
15.2. The engagement of security personnel is at the Hirer's expense and will be arranged by CCT or confirmed in writing with a copy of the security company’s insurance.
15.3. In addition the Hirer may be required to contact the local police for a "No Regrets Safe Party Pak", which includes a police registration form.
15.4. The Hirer shall ensure that a responsible person remains after the completion of the function whilst patrons vacate the premises.
16.1. In an emergency call 000 for the police or fire brigade.
16.2. For other security issues in the Park inform the CCT duty manager on site 9698 9451 or contact the City of Sydney emergency number 02 9265 9333.
16.3. The correct address for any emergency is: City Community Tennis, Prince Alfred Park Tennis Courts, Prince Alfred Park, 103 Chalmers Street, Surry Hills.
17.1. A copy of the building’s evacuation chart is located in reception.
17.2. A CCT duty manager will advise you and your party of the building’s emergency evacuation procedures.
17.3. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to have their own first aid supplies.
17.4. In the case of an emergency or fire, the venue must be evacuated according to the evacuation chart on the wall.
17.5. All exits shall be maintained clear and open for exit or entry without hindrance at all times. Blocking a fire exit is unlawful.
17.6. Use of dangerous goods is prohibited. The Hirer will not bring or permit any flame, candle, explosive, fuel, ammunition, pyrotechnic, firearm or flammable liquid or substance, or any dangerous weapon to be brought into, or used in a community venue.
18. Use of Electronic Equipment, Multi Media, Filming and Booking Park Spaces
18.1. The Hirer must obtain the prior written consent of CCT to use film projection equipment, to photograph, broadcast, televise or record any activity within the venue. Additional fees may apply and will be confirmed by CCT when the booking is confirmed.

19.1. No advertising material of any description or kind will be permitted on any section or part of the Hall or the grounds, unless authorised by CCT. The name and location of the centre to be used for advertising and invitations: Coronation Centre, Prince Alfred Park, Surry Hills NSW 2010
20. Teachers, trainers and instructors
20.1. Teachers are required to provide a current copy of
- Teaching qualification
- Certificate of Currency for Public Liability and Professional Indemnity
- Working with Children Check clearance certificate or number
- National Police Check clearance certificate
- First Aid certificate
20.2. A minimum of 15 minutes before and after your class time must be included in the room hire for bump in and bump out.
