City Community Tennis manages all levels of the UTS Tennis Club from beginner to elite. Members can play at our five court locations throughout the City of Sydney: Surry Hills, Glebe, Beaconsfield, Alexandria and Rosebery.

City Community Tennis, Surry Hills, situated in Prince Alfred Park, has five Plexicushion courts of Australian Open surface standard and is a 7 minute walk from UTS Broadway Campus!

12 months membership: $40

Membership benefits include discounts on Court Hire, Classes, Competitions, Social Tennis, Cardio Tennis, pro shop items and free use of racquets. We also plant a tree for every new and renewing member helping you to offset your carbon footprint while you play tennis!

To become a UTS Tennis Club Member simply phone us on 02 9698 9451 or come visit our head office at Prince Alfred Park tennis courts. A valid UTS student or staff ID is required.

Surry Hills

  • 7am to 5pm: $15
  • 5pm to 9pm: $25
  • 9pm to 11pm: $22
  • Weekends & Public Holidays 6am to 11pm: $22

Alexandria & Glebe

  • 7am to 5pm: $12
  • 5pm to 10pm: $16
  • Weekends & Public Holidays 7am to 10pm: $16

Beaconsfield & Rosebery

  • 7am to 5pm: $10
  • 5pm to 10pm: $14
  • Weekends & Public Holidays 7am to 10pm: $14

UTS Tennis Club Activity Rates (per session)

Please note special UTS Club discount rates for Group Classes and Social Tennis cannot be made online via the website. To receive the UTS discount rate for classes and socials you can give us a call or book online and email us your receipt and we will credit you the difference back to your player account online or when you next come in!


Tennis Scholarships & Elite Athletes Program

The program provides talented tennis players with academic and sporting support. Team members receive free training, travel funding, access to UTS career advice, enrollment assistance, academic assistance, athlete scholarship programs and more.

The UTS Tennis Club is very competitive in University sports, winning:

  • Gold Medal, 2014 Australian University Games
  • Silver Medals, 2011, 2012 & 2015 Australian University Games
  • Bronze Medals, 2014 & 2015 Australian University Games
  • Gold Medals, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015 Eastern University Games
