Friday, 28th to Sunday, 30 November 2014

We are honoured to co-host this prestigious tennis event at the Prince Alfred Park Tennis Courts each year with Wheelchair Sports NSW – showcasing some of Australia’s best wheelchair tennis players in matches that are FREE to watch for the local community!

The Metro Open is an ITF Futures Event that is part of the Uniqlo Wheelchair Tennis Tour. You can also play with the wheelies on Friday, 28 November from 1-4 pm to help raise funds for Wheelchair Tennis!  Or visit the Wheelchair Sports NSW fundraising page to support the players in this year’s tournament!

Wheelchair tennis coach Michael (Mick) Connell also offers weekly lessons and clinics at the Prince Alfred Park courts in Surry Hills. Mick was formerly number 2 in the world and won the 2013 NSW Metropolitan Open Title after winning both the Open Men’s Singles and Open Men’s Doubles.  To book a wheelchair tennis lesson with Mick please feel free to contact him directly on 0415 884 749.
