Coronation Centre Information
The Coronation Centre in Prince Alfred Park, Surry Hills is heritage listed.
It commemorates the coronation of King George VI and was originally built in 1940 as a field house to supervise children playing at the Coronation Playground. Now the head office of City Community Tennis it features:
- a large, open plan community hall available for community hire
- a fully stocked tennis pro-shop and racquet re-stringing service
- toilets and showers for users of the tennis centre and community hall
- wheelchair accessibility

Hall Hire
The community is welcome to hire the hall for:
- Children’s Birthday Parties
- Book clubs
- Movie nights & discussion groups
- Community classes
- Table Tennis

Hall Hire Rates
Community Use: $30.50 per hour
Commercial Hire: $60.00 per hour
Table Tennis Hire: $18.00 per hour (includes use of equipment)
