Tai Chi

Uma Tai ChiTai-Chi-Chuan is practiced today to promote good health and as a meditation. With regular practise, you will feel energized, relaxed, happier, healthier and more youthful! Most modern styles of Tai-Chi trace their development to one of the five traditional schools: Chen, Yang, Wu/Hao, Wu and Sun.

Your instructor, Uma Taschi teaches the Yang style of 24 form which is sometimes called the Beijing form for its place of origin. Tai-Chi is a meditation with movement so it is great for those wanting to start a meditation practice but find it difficult to sit still for longer periods. While you enjoy the practise, your mind will get quieter and after a while, you will be surprised to notice that you can sit still and meditate too.

Please wear loose comfortable clothing, gym or yoga wear and soft rubber soled shoes so you can feel the floor beneath you as you walk. Please refer example Tai Chi Shoes.

You are welcome to join the remainder of the April course at $20 a session.  Bookings for the May course will open soon.
