Tai-Chi-Chuan is practiced today to promote good health and as a meditation. With regular practise, you will feel energized, relaxed, happier, healthier and more youthful! Most modern styles of Tai-Chi trace their development to one of the five traditional schools: Chen, Yang, Wu/Hao, Wu and Sun.
Your instructor, Uma Taschi teaches the Yang style of 24 form which is sometimes called the Beijing form for its place of origin. Tai-Chi is a meditation with movement so it is great for those wanting to start a meditation practice but find it difficult to sit still for longer periods. While you enjoy the practise, your mind will get quieter and after a while, you will be surprised to notice that you can sit still and meditate too.
