It rains a lot in Sydney and you might find the tennis court wet when you arrive for play. For your convenience we've provided water removal equipment at Beaconsfield Park and St James Park courts to assist you in removing the water to speed up the court drying process.  There are two types of water removal tools - the roller squeegee and rain shuttle.

It's quite easy  removing water from the courts if you follow these simple steps.

  1. Roller squeegee: simply start in the centre and work your way out
  2. Rain shuttle: simply push the water in front of you - never use on dry court this will ruin the blade!
  3. If provided use both tools to speed up the water removal process

When finished please hang the equipment on the fence so the squeegees don't dry flat and the rain shuttle does not interfere with play.
